Dear members and friends of Tuckahoe United Methodist Church,
We are writing to share with you that Bishop John Schol has appointed Pastor Mike Chapman as Pastor of Tuckahoe United Methodist Church; this position will be effective, July 1, 2021.
Mike Chapman is originally from Shamokin, PA, and happily found his way to South Jersey with his college sweetheart, Jackie. In 2002, Mike and Jackie answered the Lord’s call to full-time ministry after graduating from Eastern University. He received a B.A. in Youth Ministry and a M.Div. from Palmer Seminary. Mike has served and ministered at Aldine UMC in Elmer, NJ for 18 years in various pastoral roles. He is a dedicated minister to a multigenerational community, both within the congregation and outside the walls of the church. He is passionate about Jesus, the forgotten, the lonely, the lost, the hurting, outcasts and empowering the body of Christ. He plays the guitar, drums, loves singing, writing music and uses those gifts and abilities for ministry. He enjoys fixing cars and an abundance of coffee. Jackie received a Bachelor’s of Social Work, and later a Special Education Graduate Certification from Rowan University. She was privileged to work at Ranch Hope Strang School for 11 years and has been blessed with seasons as a stay at home mother. She loves to teach, preach, inspire, lead, empower, nurture hearts, live kindness and encourage people of all ages. She is passionate about the youth and connecting them to all generations for care, support, wisdoms and prayer. Jackie loves a good clean laugh, enjoys taking walks to think, pray and see God’s creation and inspirations-seeking the Holy Spirit through the rollercoaster of life. Mike and Jackie are thankful parents of two miracles, Micah and Grace.
We give thanks for the rich history of Tuckahoe United Methodist Church, our journey in faith and ministry, our commitment to growth, newness, and change, and to God who is leading us together.
Let us join our hearts in prayer for Tuckahoe United Methodist Church, and for Pastor Mike Chapman and his family as we all prepare for this new beginning. Thanks and praises to God!
We would like to formally thank Pastor Fred Marz and his wife Peggy for their service this past year, and wish them well in their retirement.
